Athlete of the Week
October 9 - October 15

Football - Cody Santiago

The football team Athlete of the Week is #52, Cody Santiago. Cody has worked his way into a starting role at right guard for the Marauders and helped pave the way for 614 yards rushing in the last two games. His physical presence has been vital in opening holes for his teammates to run through. Cody has also been a force at defensive end on a unit that has only allowed an average of 12 points per game so far this season. He has posted 25 tackles on the season thus far, including 12 in the last two contests. He has harassed and hurried quarterbacks all season and logged one sack. Often overlooked by the media, linemen are extremely crucial to the team's success. Cody has proven to be a senior leader and unselfish in his role on the line. His efforts up front and as a team player have led him to be the selection as Athlete of the Week.

Cheerleading - Taylor Bartlett

Taylor Bartlett is the varsity cheerleading Athlete of the Week. Taylor is a sophomore at S-E and is a joy to have on the squad. She is very respectful and polite. Taylor has a very dedicated attitude and is always willing to help her teammates. Not only is she a solid base for stunts but she has also participated as a flyer. At games she has excellent sportsmanship and shows a lot of team spirit. Taylor has the potential to be a leader to her squad and I look forward to working with her in the future. Congratulations Taylor, keep up the great work!!
