Girls Basketball - Katherine Robertson

Katherine Robertson is the girls basketball Athlete of the Week.  Katherine, a junior guard, plays with intensity and desire every time she steps on the court.  She is a fierce competitor and is willing to do whatever is asked of her by her coaches.  This season, she has provided a real spark off the bench.  Her defense often frustrates opposing players, and her hustle on the court does not go unnoticed.  Katherine has become more vocal this year, and has taken on a leadership role on the team. She is also a model teammate, willing to help her teammates and coaches both on and off the court.  Katherine is an extremely hard worker and is a pleasure to coach.  Congratulations Katherine, and keep up the great work!

Boys Basketball - Randy Briggs

The Athlete of the Week for boys basketball is Randy Briggs.  Randy, a senior, is the starting point guard and a captain of this year's team.  He is known for his stellar defense, and has taken over the point guard duties after starting as a shooting guard the last two seasons.  Randy has always shown a tremendous work ethic over his high school basketball career, not only during the season but in the offseason as well. Randy is mostly known for his hustle and determination on the court. This was demonstrated by his desire to return to a game after breaking his nose at Adirondack earlier this year. He not only returned to the game, he also played the next game with the broken nose as well.  Randy is also a member of the Sherburne-Earlville High School Honor Society, which makes him an exceptional role model for younger student athletes.  Congratulations on this award Randy and keep up the outstanding work!

Indoor Track - Sierra Ulrich

Sophomore, Sierra Ulrich is this the indoor track and field Athlete of the Week.  Right from the first practice, she took the team reins, leading from the front by example.  She gives it her all at practice and didn't shrink from even the most difficult workouts.   She posted a personal record time of 8.68 in the 55 meter dash at the first meet, lowered it to 8.59 at the second meet, then lowered it a third time to 8.54 at the third meet.  She also set personal records in the 200 and 300 meter dashes the first time she ran each one this year.  We still have a number of meets left and I expect there will be more PRs to come.  Congratulations Sierra!
